43 W/LDP: Log Dump Portable

43W/LDP Wizard Log Dump Portable.

43W122 Kerry & 43W044 Pete will be active from the Log Dump from - Friday 25th of April till Sunday 27th April. There are no particular QSY frequencies, just calling on 555 & QSYing to a clear frequency.

We'll be using the new 5 element dual drive yagi for testing while at the Log Dump.

Log Dump DX'Pdition Posponed Again

Due to the weather conditions down here, the Log Dump Portable has been postponed. We have had over 100mm (4") of rain here the last few days. As I write this, the rain is still coming down, the river to the East of town is just coming over it's banks onto the river flats. There is a lot of local flooding around the district.

I rang up the Forestry Department to inquire about the road conditions up to the Barrington Tops National Park. They said the road is very dangerous at the moment. The River crossings at the bottom of the mountain are very high, due to rain.

A future date will be posted for a future Log Dump DX'padition.
